Farm Sanctuary is truth in advertising.  It is a magical place that provides a loving and tranquil life for farmed animals whose previous experience hasn't featured either of those virtues.  It is my favorite place in the world and I would love for you to take a few moments (Or a lot more time) to check out their wonderful work.  I can only speak for myself, but doing so opened up a whole new world for me and it may just do the same for you.
Whether you are a new Vegan wondering how to replace all of the animal products in your life, or a long time Vegan looking for some new and cool stuff, this is a great place to start.  If it's cruelty-free, there's a really good chance that they have it here.  They have a wide selection of message shirts which are great conversation starters.  I also found that the boots I bought were popular with people which provided an opportunity to talk about the fact that they were Vegan and why I was too.
I learned about this web site through a discussion I had with a hitchhiker on the drive from Orland to San Francisco.  This is a great spot to check out if you are looking for alternatives to Vegan processed foods or if you want to impress the heck out of your friends with some truly tasty meals.  Just don't tell them the meal is  Vegan until after they tell you how much they loved it.  It really helps with the surprise factor.
This organization was created by Carolyn Mullin.  Anyone who has read my blog will know that Carolyn was the first person I met at Farm Sanctuary and her kindness and willing to let me check the place out although it was late in the day was instrumental in my connection with the place (If she had turned me away, it is hard to know if I would have come back or not).  This is her new project and it is worth checking out.

This site was brought to my attention by a visitor to my site.  It contains a lot of helpful links to instructions for creating your own vegan cleaning products and make-up.  In a world where you can't always tell what is in the products you buy, it is a really helpful resource to have.  Many thanks to Stephanie and her children for bringing it to my attention.
